Walk into the LuxeBox atelier on any weekday morning and you will find quiet industry. A lacquer artisan polishing a navy panel. A miniature painter bent over a peacock motif, brush held between two fingers. A gold leaf gilder breathing slowly before placing a wafer-thin sheet onto wet adhesive. No machines. No assembly line. I. Miniature Art — The soul of the lid
Rajasthani miniature painting is not decoration. It is narrative. Our artists paint peacock arches, palace scenes, Ramayana episodes, and floral buti patterns using brushes made from a single hair — sometimes squirrel, sometimes camel, always chosen for the line it holds.
A single lid panel may require forty hours. The pigments are natural: lapis for blue, cinnabar for crimson, gold for illumination. The result is not a print. It is an original painting you can hold in your hands.
II. Gold Leaf — Light made permanent
Real gold leaf is applied by hand over lacquer or miniature borders. The technique is Mughal — unchanged for five centuries. One breath in the wrong direction and the leaf crumples. Our gilders work in still air, with tools older than our grandfathers.
The jali geometric patterns on our Midnight Indigo edition — sacred geometry drawn from Jaipur palace architecture — are entirely gold leaf. They catch light differently at every hour. That is not accident. That is design.
III. Lacquer — Depth you can feel
Before any art is applied, the box body receives multiple lacquer layers — hand-applied, hand-polished, over weeks. The surface must hold still-water depth. You should want to touch it. That tactile quality is the first test of a LuxeBox.

IV. Curation — The invisible craft
The final hand belongs to our curator. Premium almonds, walnuts, cashews, and kishmish — chosen one by one. Glass jars capped in gold. Arranged in satin nests cut to millimetre precision. The contents must honour the box that holds them.
We never fill a LuxeBox with whatever is in stock. We fill it with what the occasion demands.
Why twelve hands?
Efficiency would suggest one artisan, one box, one day. We chose differently. Each specialist — lacquer, miniature, gilding, velvet, curation — does one thing with mastery. The result is not a product. It is a composition.
